Set up and Placement

The VIBE gaming subwoofer has an independent volume control which allows integration with your TV speakers and a wide range of other audio equipment.
To set the bass level of the gaming subwoofer follow the procedure below.
• Connect the subwoofer to your games console.
• Set the bass level control on the subwoofer to it’s minimum setting which is fully anti-clockwise.
• Have a game or music track playing and set the volume of the TV speakers to the desired listening level.
• Slowly rotate the bass level control clockwise until the desired sound balance has been achieved.
• Sit back and enjoy a truly immersive gaming experience!

Terminals & Controls

1. Low Level Input

For connection to a source unit with low level outputs. This is the RCA output from your device.

2. Low Level Output

Use to ‘daisy chain’ multiple subwoofers or another audio device.

3. Bass Level

Use to match the input signal of the source to the amplifier. See setup guide for more details.

4. Power LED

The LED will illuminate green when the amplifier is in operation.

5. On / Off Switch

Use to switch the power to the amplifier on and off.

6. AC Power Input

For connection to a mains wall socket.

Installation

The VIBE Optisound Gaming subwoofer has been designed to deliver great sound from almost any location. Placing the TV and Optisound in the corner of the room will further increase the sound produced. Plug & Play straight out of the box. Optisound is easy to install in under two minutes using the supplied cable.

Connections to a Nintendo Wii

• Connect the video plug (yellow if using composite connection and red, green and blue if using RGB connection) of the Wii AV lead to the video input of the TV set.
• Connect the left and right audio plugs (red and white) of the Wii AV lead to the audio input of subwoofer.
• Connect one end of the supplied RCA lead to the audio output of the subwoofer and connect the other end to the audio input of the TV set.

Connections to a Sony PS3 analogue

• Connect the video plug (yellow if using composite connection and red, green and blue if using RGB connection) of the PS3 AV lead to the video input of the TV set.
• Connect the left and right audio plugs (red and white) of the PS3 AV lead to the audio input of subwoofer.
• Connect one end of the supplied RCA lead to the audio output of the subwoofer and connect the other end to the audio input of the TV set.

PS3 analogue

Connections to a Sony PS3 HDMI

• Connect the left and right audio plugs (red and white) of the PS3 AV lead to the audio input of subwoofer.
• Connect a HDMI lead (not supplied) to the HDMI output of the PS3 and the HDMI input of the TV set.IMPORTANT:
Please ensure that the audio multi-output setting is enabled on the PS3 console or the sound will not be present on both TV and subwoofer.

XBOX 360 analogue

• Connect the video plug (yellow if using composite connection and red, green and blue if using RBG connection) of the XBOX 360 AV lead to the video input of the TV set.
• Connect the left and right audio plugs (red and white) of the XBOX 360 AV lead to the audio input of subwoofer.
• Connect one end of the supplied RCA lead to the audio output of the subwoofer and connect the other end to the audio input of the TV set.

XBOX analogue

XBOX 360 Digital

• Connect one end of the supplied RCA lead to the audio output of the XBOX 360 and connect the other end to the audio input of the subwoofer.
• Connect a HDMI lead (not supplied) to the HDMI output of the XBOX 360 and the HDMI input of the TV set.

IMPORTANT: In order to use the AV output and HDMI output an XBOX 360 audio adaptor (not supplied) will be required due to the close proximity of the sockets.
